El Mamagallo es un animal exótico por naturaleza. Su cuerpo está recubierto de vistosas y extrañas plumas multicolores, las que mueve con gracia cuando surca los cielos, como si bailara con el aire. De instinto generoso, se le ha visto muchas veces acicalar a otras aves y prepararlas para sus respectivos rituales de apareamiento, con ornamentos elaboradísimos. Su timidez, sin embargo, hace que el Mamagallo esconda su cabeza en una especie de caparazón cefálico. Se dice que si uno logra mirarlo a los ojos quedará aturdido y al borde de la locura.
The Mamagallo is an exotic animal by nature. Its body is covered in flamboyant multicoloured feathers that glide gracefully when it pierces the sky dancing with the air. Generous by instinct, it is known to primp and groom other birds with elaborate ornaments as they prepare for mating rituals. Its bashfulness does, however, cause the Mamagallo to hide its head in a kind of head-shaped shell. It is said that if looked at, straight in the eyes, the Mamagallo will be stunned and driven to near insanity.

Diseñador de vestuario escénico oriundo de la Patagonia Chilena. Comprende al cuerpo como soporte discursivo dentro de un espacio performativo. Su visión de diseño se cimienta en una constante investigación y experimentación estética de materialidad en movimiento.

Su propuesta artística acciona estímulos sobre el cuerpo: condicionando, desestabilizando, corrigiendo, inmovilizando, adosando o vistiendo con elementos externos a un cuerpo, con el fin de contextualizar y escenificar distintas maneras de pensar, ver y resolver el diseño de vestuario escénico y sus posibilidades. Todo esto le permite una mayor libertad para crear y proponer diseños complejos con funcionalidad corporal, discursiva y visual. Parte de su trabajo en diseño se expondrá en el “INNOVATIVE COSTUME of the 21st CENTURY 2019: THE NEXT GENERATION“, Moscú-Rusia.

Stage costume designer originally from the Chilean Patagonia. He understands the body as a medium of discourse within the performative space. His vision of design is based on an ongoing research and aesthetic experimentation of materiality in movement.

His artistic design stimulates the body: conditioning, destabilizing, correcting, immobilizing, attaching or dressing a body with external elements in order to contextualize and stage different ways of thinking, seeing and solving stage costume design and its possibilities. All of this allows for a greater freedom in creating and proposing complex designs with a functionality surrounding the body, discourse and the visual. Some of his designs will be exhibited in the «INNOVATIVE COSTUME of the 21st CENTURY 2019: THE NEXT GENERATION» in Moscow.
